Forecast for the year
- TROPICAL STORM RISK: Tropical Storm Risk has updated its 2013 Typhoon Season forecast, and anticipates the 2013 Northwest Pacific typhoon season will see activity 20% below the 1965-2012 climate norm. Which means that we are NOW expecting around 22 Tropical Storms, 13 of them becoming Typhoons and about 6-7 of them becoming intense. CLICK HERE FOR THE AUGUST 2013 FULL REPORT.
- CITY UNIVERSITY OF HONGKONG - GUY CARPENTER ASIA-PACIFIC CLIMATE IMPACT CENTER: This center did not make any predictions of TC activity for last year 2012. MTC is currently waiting if they will make another climate prediction for 2013
